A couple of years ago I bought a running watch. The Garmin Forerunner 305 (http://bit.ly/NQzt0). At the time I bought it, I had the old 201, so it was really a step up. Newer models have come since, but this one does the trick – if you remember to charge it; today it died on me around 15K.
Apart from the GPS and the wireless heart rate monitor, it tell you all you need to know when sweating it out on the road. As an added benefit, you can upload your training session to Garmin Connect (formerly known as MotionBased). I know, you can live without it, but personally I really like to keep track of your training sessions and see how you did compared to e.g. last year at the same time.
A few words about the training: this and also next week I still work on getting some miles into those old legs. After this I will go for speed for a few weeks doing intervals and after this revert back to the training program derived by Lars Bom (to the Danes: yes the actor). Drop me a line if you are interested.
Happy running to all.
I am going to attend Dev Days in Århus tomorrow, organized by Århus .NET User Group (www.anug.dk).
Enough praise cannot go to the people from aung who put these events together.
Come over and say ‘hi’ if you are around; it would be nice to put a live face to some of the “virtual” people in ones life
Until a year ago I did not have a personal computer. I mean, I had one, but it was not my own private box, but rather a laptop supplied by the company. It had been this way for ages; almost all my professional career. Then last year I finally bought one. A really nice iMac which I just love. It has so many nice features and if I need windows – which I do for all the professional stuff I do – I use Fusion, which works perfectly.
Anyway, one of the “build in” apps is photo booth, a small application using the build-in web cam to take pictures like you were sitting in a photo booth at the station or airport or mall or … My youngest was very fast in finding out the Mac had such an app and ever so often when I work, he comes in and “demands” that we take a few pictures.

Dad vs. Son
Finally got my act together and did some running this morning after a loooong summer break. Nothing fancy. A slow 10k around the countryside. Man did it hurt. I keep forgetting how it is to start up again after a break and every time I swear it will be the last time I goof around instead of tying those shoelaces up regularly.
It does not help either, that my sister has announced that she will do the Seattle Marathon in November. Well, if she likes it, maybe I can convince her to come to Copenhagen in May next year for the Copenhagen Marathon if I in return go to Seattle in November 2010.
